About This Site

Gracein a single word you find blessing, generosity, thankfulness, forgiveness, unmerited favor, unconditional love and perhaps a few more ingredients revealed in God’s character and image within the pages of scripture. Unquestionably, the height, depth and width of God’s grace is revealed and personified in the life, teachings, and saving actions of His Son, Jesus. John 1:14 and 16 says; “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth…For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.(ESV) Mankind receives justification by the free gift of God’s grace through faith in the redemptive action which is in Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:21-26) I fully believe that the best that life has to offer flows from the gift of grace. When you stop to consider what is good in life, truly it’s all about grace.

So why this blog? In short, God’s grace, freely given to those who seek him, is a blessing which flows, inward, outward, upward, downward. Freely received, freely given. As Minister of Pastoral Care and Discipleship at Winfree Memorial Baptist Church in Midlothian, Virginia, I have seen so many examples of how God’s grace flows through his people. There is a great need to share these examples and to draw on scripture in order to illustrate the ways and means by which grace, freely given, is not only blessed, it issues true blessings.

That is my intent; to capture and communicate the goodness of grace. To share the wealth that grace truly is. It may be in the comforting words and actions given to those who find themselves in the wilderness of grief, loss, or separation. It may be in a message from scripture intended to encourage and build up. It may be an opportunity to simply bless, through a good story, someone’s life.

It’s all about grace.
